UM Atlanta Club Scholarship Fundraising Meets 2007 Goal!

The Board of Directors of the University of Michigan Club of Atlanta (UMACA) would like to thank all of our alumni, family, and friends for their generous support of our scholarship fund. During the past two years, we raised $25,000 from raffles during the football games and silent auctions at our marquis fundraising event, Victors & Vino. These funds were matched on a 1-to-1 basis ($25,000) by U of M President Mary Sue Coleman as part of the President's Donor Challenge. These funds were used to establish a "need-based" scholarship endowment fund.

Annual stipends from the fund will be awarded to Metro-Atlanta high school seniors who attend Michigan based on financial need.

To our Michigan family here in Atlanta, we deeply appreciate your generosity to the UMACA and its programs. Thank you, once again, for your continued support. GO BLUE!

Contributions can be made by clicking on the Donate Now link below. For more information and to get involved with our efforts, please contact Ilona Wozniak at iwozniak@umich.edu

Alumni Student Recruitment Activities

The University of Michigan is built on a strong tradition of academic excellence. Alumni volunteers help maintain that tradition by encouraging academically talented students to apply to and attend the U-M.

As an Alumni Student Recruiter, you provide the one-on-one interaction, personal attention and encouragement that can make the difference between a student choosing Michigan or another school. Providing your perspective as a U-M alumnus/a is the most important part of the program.

To learn more about this program, please contact our recruiting coordinator, Ilona Wozniak, at iwozniak@umich.edu.

You can also learn more about the program at the Alumni Association Student Recruiting Website: http://alumni.umich.edu/recruitment/index.php
